Terms of service

The important stuff about using Keep — written clearly, because you shouldn't need a lawyer to understand your software terms.

The basics

Keep is made by Keepflow Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England. When you buy Keep, you're purchasing a personal licence to use the software. These terms govern that relationship.

By purchasing or using Keep, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, that's fine — you can request a refund within 30 days.

What you're buying

Keep costs £49 as a one-time purchase. That gets you a personal licence to use the application on your own devices, plus 12 months of updates from the date of purchase.

After 12 months, Keep continues to work exactly as it does — you just stop receiving new features. When we release a major new version, you can upgrade for £29 or stay on your current version indefinitely. There's no expiry and no loss of functionality.

Your licence is for personal, household use. You can install Keep on multiple devices that you personally own and use. You can't redistribute it, resell it, or share your licence with people outside your household.

AI subscriptions

We're building optional AI-powered features that will be available as monthly subscriptions after launch. When those are ready, they'll have their own pricing and terms, which we'll share clearly before you're asked to pay for anything.

AI features are entirely optional. Every core feature of Keep works without them and always will.

Refunds

We offer a 30-day refund policy, no questions asked. If Keep isn't right for your household, email hello@keepflow.app within 30 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full.

For AI subscriptions (when available), you can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Your data

Keep is local-first software. Your financial data is stored on your device, not on our servers. We don't have access to your transactions, accounts, or balances. See our privacy policy for the full details.

You're responsible for backing up your own data. Keep provides export functionality for this purpose. Since we don't hold your data, we can't recover it if your device is lost or damaged.

What we provide

We aim to build reliable, useful software. We'll do our best to fix bugs promptly and deliver meaningful updates during your update period. However, we can't guarantee that Keep will be completely free of bugs, or that it will work perfectly in every situation.

Keep is a tool for understanding your personal finances. It's not financial advice. We don't recommend what you should do with your money — we help you see it clearly so you can make your own decisions.

Limitations

To the extent permitted by law, Keepflow Ltd's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of Keep is limited to the amount you paid for the software. We're not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including financial decisions made based on information displayed in Keep.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If we need to change these terms, we'll let you know by email and update the date at the top. Changes won't apply retrospectively to existing purchases. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll give you reasonable notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
